Well hi there! How’s it going?
I just ended a business appointment. Not exactly the turnout I would like. However, many may respond in the most sarcastic tone, “What a GREAT start to a week!” and continue the rest of their day in hopelessness. But I am repeatedly telling myself that failing is all a part of the process and you just need to learn and keep pressing forward. And “look” forward…in the distance…on a fountain…with Timbs and a sparkly choker. While listening to the turning point song in “Legally Blonde.” Ha!

Hello and happy Monday! I hope you all had an amazing weekend, I for one did!
Have you ever been surrounded by a group of people who share positivity, encouragement, some hard truth, but hope to help make you, the people around you, and the entire world a better place? It becomes so contagious that you just want to jump on that same train full speed ahead. And I love working with a company that does just that every single day, and sometimes, we do it in style.
We had a three-day conference at Indian Wells, CA and on the last night, there was a gala night. Let me tell you- oh, how I MISSED my favorite Michigan thrift stores! The struggle was real when I was trying to find a dress and I eventually bought this one at full retail price. *everyone who really knows me gasps* However it was so fun scoping out Southern California from thrift store to thrift store on a mission. So if anyone has any recommendations on second-hand shops, please let me know!
I’m praying you all have a great week ahead. May it be just as fierce and vibrant as your own red dress because God has some AWESOME plans for you. Let’s all be a source of light, love, and joy during a season that’s known for many people becoming depressed and anxious. Life is a gift- so don’t waste it! Get it, girl.
“But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!”
– John 15:7
Ladies, you know those days where you have a million plus one errands to do and all you want to do is be comfortable yet not resort to sweats and sneakers? Yeah, we all have those days- myself included!
I’ll tell ya, an easy and comfy shift dress is one of the easiest pieces to work with. For example, I wore some Adidas shell tops with some silver hoops and a messy bun for a more sporty and casual look. Or, opt for the more chic-er version with flats and an on-the-go cross body!
When I saw these shoes at Sally’s, a was a bit hesitant but something about them kept pulling me in. Isn’t it weird how shoes can have a way of doing that to a girl? But there’s something different about them; maybe it’s the cross between grandma flats and my old black patent tap shoes that also had a buckle go across- I don’t know! But I figured these would be perfect for a day I don’t feel like wearing heels to the office 🙂
Not a major fan of designer purses, tbh. My aunt actually gifted this to me a few years ago and this is the first time I’m wearing it out. But you can’t go wrong with a cross body purse when you’re running around! Who’s with me??
I hope you’re all having an amazing day so far! Can you do me a favor? Place your hand over your heart, breathe in and out, and verbally say, “I’m alive, I’m breathing, and living. I’m grateful.” This world’s not perfect, but we can always make the best of it. Live on!

When your family decides to drive to New York purely for a food crawl inspired by the Fung Bros., you know it’s gonna be a good day.
Walking to six different places was well worth the two and a half hour drive and roaming around Chinatown for the afternoon. From $1.25 dumplings to bubble tea and ice cream, it was a time well spent! A family that food crawls together- stays together!
I love experimenting with fashion whenever I travel to New York. I’m not much of one to mix prints, but I somehow couldn’t help but to pair this thrifted skirt with a striped tank. I’m also not much of a skirt-and-sneaker girl but with all the walking, the red Converse high tops came out which I found cohesive with the flowers on the skirt.
By the way, I’m on Snapchat! You can follow (really random) adventures at jirehdejose!
Until next time!
