Let me just say, packing for these mission trips was not easy! A week into the Philippines I was already borrowing my Lola’s duster/nightgown. I thank God for my auntie who gave me some of her hand-me downs which consist of the most comfortable shift dresses with patterns that vary from dainty lace to abstract geometric shapes. Exhibit A, this ’80s printed, lightweight, and above-the-knee dress that makes me wish I was an extra on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Hi everyone! How was your weekend?
What did I do on my Saturday night you ask? I spent it with an auditorium full of 8-12-year-old girls on fire for Jesus. It was pretty incredible.
Secret Keeper Girl Crazy Hair Tour (SKGCHT), created by Dannah Gresh, is a mother-daughter stage show that teaches young ladies how to be a light in a fallen world, true beauty and how to love themselves despite what they or others might think, and living a life of purity because of the God that loves and lives inside of them. Whether it’s through a skit, an interactive activity, a wild hair and modesty fashion show, or worship, these girls (and their hairstyles) were crazy- crazy for Jesus!
I will admit, these 50 degree fall days are not too shabby! The sunny, cool days are perfect for hayrides, munching on Yates everything, and Gaga Ball and Human Foosball. Yes, all of the above occurred this past Sunday during Bridgewood Church’s annual family event, “Barnyard Jam,” which was held at the gorgeous Hope Ranch. It was on full-swing with ziplining, inflatables, basketball, and more in the center of beautiful color transitioning trees. Ahh, I love my church!
Be sure to check out Bridgewood Church’s podcasts, too! Just click here. Weekend services = ❤
Until next time!

“Let every man abide in the calling wherein he is called and his work will be as sacred as the work of the ministry. It is not what a man does that determines whether his work is sacred or secular, it is why he does it.”
― A.W. Tozer, The Pursuit of God
Just one beautiful facet of the church- the youth group. As one of the most vulnerable and critical times in a human being’s life, these students come from all kinds of backgrounds. However, they have one thing in common: the decision to enter God’s House, follow Jesus, leave the life the world would rather see, and instead walking along the path of righteousness. To see such a tender age with a heart’s cry for His grace and unshakeable love is not just evidence of God’s army multiplying, but a generation that the world should look to and the devil should tremble at. #WeWontBeShaken #CraveYouth
Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander, like newborn babies long for the pure milk of the word so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.
