Ohhh the Michigan shoots in the middle of snow where I look like I’m standing on top of a huge marshmallow. I’m back!
I’ve been back in Michigan for about three weeks now and not just for the holidays but to help my parents put the house on the market (more on that in the next post!). I arrived literally just a couple days before the fires started in California. Can you believe they are still ongoing?? Let’s continue to pray for all those who had to evacuate and are affected and all those who are risking their lives trying to stop them.
It’s been interesting transitioning from shorts and sandals weather to layers and frigid temperatures needless to say. You could get away with jeans and a sweater in Cali’s “winter” but now I’m scrounging around to match gloves and boots!
But this look was fun to put together, especially styling around my early Christmas present (thanks, ma!)- my first Betsey Johnson purse! I’ve always wanted a Betsey Johnson purse since I was in high school; the eclectic girly designs with the famous big bows always drew my attention. I love this little red and black number with the quilted hearts and touch of my power color, red. I feel a little like Goldilocks with it too; it’s not too big and not too small. It’s just right.
Hope you’re all getting ready and excited for Christmas as much as I am! And in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, let’s always remember the reason for this time of the year- Jesus’ birth. Let’s celebrate, shall we?
