“Often the best gift you can give yourself is time alone – some time to ask yourself questions and listen quietly for answers.”
– Katrina Mayer
Yes, yes, and yes. Specifically, quietly listening to answers from God. The times where I have heard Him speak the loudest and clearest times were in the quietest settings. I may be just sitting in my room or in the middle of nature intentionally and patiently waiting for Him to speak life and wisdom into me. And when He does, goosebumps with a mix of tears easily come into play!
Praying that as you seek and pursue Him you will hear and realize the heavenly King is also seeking and pursuing you. Remember, He doesn’t have to come down in a big, mighty boom or extravagant entrance. He can be the most powerful in His still, small voice.
“And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. And a voice said, ‘What are you doing here, Elijah?'”
