Ruffled Up

Lake Elsinore, CA. My, oh my, are you a beaut!

Grace and I went to the little but pretty town of Lake Elsinore on Saturday for a BBQ which has the most beautiful views! We drove down late afternoon and while we were searching for a place for look shots, we found ourselves driving closer and closer to the town’s lake. I’ll tell ya, it was like a scene from a Nicholas Sparks movie. The afternoon sun created a glitter-like effect across the water; some people were boating or and families and little ones were on the outskirt in the sand.

Really exciting news: I have finally found a thrift store out in CA! For those who truly know me, I am a thrifting freak and ever since we’ve lived here, I just could not fall in love with the Goodwills and Sal Vals. We checked out two thrift stores out in San Bernardino last week and- voila! It was like love at first sight!

I felt like I was back in MI going through the racks at Sal Val on a mission and a hunt for new finds. I came across this blouse and skirt and could not pass up the feminine details on them. This breezy blouse has a ruffled neckline with a tie, and the skirt’s pleats? Done deal.

Hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend while remembering and honoring those who have served our country.

Until next time!
