Farewell 2016!

Happy (almost) New Year!

This is probably the last #OOTD for 2016 on fmG! And one of the most minimalistic ones at that. Just a good ol’ sweater and some slingback heels. This has got to be one of the most comfortable sweaters but I also love it because of its unique leg-o-mouton sleeves (which literally means “leg of lamb”) and cowl/Bertha collar neckline. So with a sweater with that many components, sometimes simplicity is key!

I hope you all have a great New Year’s Eve with your friends, family, and loved ones. If you’re like me getting caught up in the 2017 list and dreaming up of what could be for the next year, I challenge you (and myself) this: to focus on what God wants from you. Really get down to the nitty gritty of it. I think it’s so easy to be influenced on what the world says a new year should be such as losing weight or being happier. And while those may be good, I desire to seek and listen to how He wants my life to be in all areas. After all, our lives are a gift from Him anyways. Let’s design it as it should be lived!

Sweater: thrifted • Heels: Anne Klein (thrifted) • Earrings: Charming Charlie’s

“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. And I will give you a new heart with new and right desires, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony heart of sin and give you a new, obedient heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so you will obey my laws and do whatever I command.
– Ezekiel 36:25-27
