Sunday, 3.20.16– After a lovely morning getting ready at the local fitness center and turning our rental car into our mobile closet, Sheila and I headed to Hillsong LA in Downtown LA. To no surprise we got our fill of Hillsong worship songs, Aussie accents, and the opportunity to pause and give God thanks for protecting us thus far, how He has been working in our lives and placing daring desires and dreams, and especially all that was to come in the following days.
Afterwards, we headed to Culver City where I finally met Liz of Downtown Demure! After following her blog for a couple of years and admiring all that she stands for as a fellow faith and fashion blogger, I knew I had to contact her while I was out there. We headed to a local cafe and spotted her right away in an insanely gorgeous maxi dress. We instantly started chatting up a storm from blogging to building brands and living out our lives as daughters of the King. I took away so much from that one hour and felt so much joy for connecting with someone so relatable. Thanks, girl!
After a quick change, Sheila and I headed to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills because, well, it’s Rodeo Drive. And we’re from Michigan. Sure enough throughout the stretch of high-end stores and endless restaurants were small settings blooming of beauty- literally! The perfect photo-ops.
