When The Fight Calls

fashion meets God

Hello, March!

If you live in Michigan like me, dressing over the past week has been as weird and confusing as the outside temperature itself. One day us Michiganders are out wearing light sweaters and the next we’re looking like complete eskimos! This day, however, was one of the sunniest days of the week with a high of 40-something. Yes, that is considered a high this time of year.

You don’t necessarily need to shop for a new pretty blouse or awesome dress to conjure up a new look. Here’s how one simple accessory can catalyst an entire outfit: a cozy winter headband = a matching maroon vest that’s just as cozy -> minimal jewelry since the headband’s embellished detail does justice -> a disheveled updo -> a black base + favorite pair of winter booties -> fmG’s first look shot of 2016!

Can I just say I am missing you all so much! How have you been, dear friend?

Hope you are all staying warm and safe during Snowpocalypse 2016! Listen to this song from Hillsong Young & Free’s new album, Youth Revival, when you get a chance, yes? I have a feeling this resonates with someone else to the core.

I won’t let the storm weather my heart
Won’t let the darkness beat me down
Sing in the night my hope alive in You
I’ll walk through the fire and not get burned
Pray in the fight and watch it turn
Jesus tonight I give it all to You
