Year in Review: Top 10 Posts of 2015!

You know what word God placed in my heart coming into 2015? “Breakthrough.” I didn’t know what that meant or what would become of that at the time, obviously, but as 2015 is now coming to an end, I can see why He made that my year’s theme. It’s funny, I thought the summer of mission trips was the breakthrough until He kept revealing more– working in the financial industry. HAH! Still blows my mind.

As I look through fashion meets God’s stats for 2015, I cannot believe the blog has been viewed 17,000 times in 126 countries! How incredible is that?! Although I’m not surprised as to what posts made the top 10 list; 6 out of 10 were GUEST FEATURES. These were some of the funnest blog posts because I had the opportunity to meet and interview incredible people God is using all over the world. Without further a do, here’s the Top 10!

10. Six Sites for Lady Leaders

“I encourage you to follow them on Twitter and Instagram because in the mist of negativity and dark influence across social media it’s nice to be reminded of God’s grace and your life’s purpose with help representing His Light.” (Read More)

09. Faith: Courage Through Cancer

“That weekend and following Monday taught me so many life lessons and I encountered Jesus in a way like none other before. I’m so thankful that I had the opportunity to know a person that put others before herself as she did and was at peace and spread joy throughout her battle.” (Read More)

08. Bringing Hope to Inner City Kids: Tay Copeland

“If there’s one thing to say about an inner city where people think that there’s no hope- there’s always hope. As long as we’re serving a good God, a living God, there’s always hope…There’s never a moment where there’s no hope. There’s always hope in the root of all the mess. There’s hope everywhere and hope happens here.” – Tay Copeland (Read More)

07. The Interns

“We are the three girls at the office clicking in heels and laughing (mainly due to slap happiness of lack of sleep from our graduation show) while trying to digest our eight hour training lectures of all things Forever 21. I have been a loyal customer to F21 since I was 14 and now I’m so blessed to have this opportunity to intern for them. It’s only been three days and I am already enjoying it.” (P.S. This post is from 2012!) (Read More)

06. Party Girl to Jesus Freak: Aisha Diaz

“You are made in His image; God doesn’t make mistakes. What Satan intended for bad, God will restore that brokenness, breathe new life into you, and break any addictions. You are worthy of it all. Don’t give up!” – Aisha Diaz (Read More)

05. #JirehForFour: Summer Mission Trips

“There’s nothing like traveling to another country, laying your hand on the sick, the poor, and the children who just need care and prayers. Who just need to know that there is someone out there that sees their soul and shows compassion to them. And that’s what I believe God has called me to do- to serve Him beyond the Internet and love on His people in these locations.” (Read More)

04. Your Path His Plan: Amy Basel

He has done a lot of work in not only my life, but in my heart. He has broken me down to build me up even stronger. And I find that that cycle keeps happening, which I am totally fine with as long as He keeps revealing Himself to me (which I know He will).” – Janeleen Suarez (Read More)

And that’s it! Thank you so much for ALL of your support, especially this year. To those who have supported me through my mission trips financially and/or through prayer and continue to follow the journey from California and back- from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I have met so many amazing, beautiful, and talented people who I can call as lifetime friends. Every opportunity and every post God has led me to write on fmG within the past 365 days has all been for Him. Without Him, I did and was nothing. Through His provision, it has officially been the best year of my life and I can’t even begin to imagine what 2016 will look like. I’m ready for even more of a breakthrough. How about you?

Have a great and safe New Year’s Eve, y’all. Until “next year!”

“The unfailing love of the LORD never ends! By his mercies we have been kept from complete destruction. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each day. I say to myself, “The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”

  1. Congrats on reaching so many views Jireh! You deserve it 🙂
Do you have any tips on how to get your blog out? What platform do you get most of your views from? Though it is really not about the numbers, it is still great to know that someone reads and enjoys your posts!

  2. Ida! Thank you so much for all your continuous support, seriously. Your readership and blogger presence is amazing!

From these stats, I saw that Facebook is where fmG generated most of its views, which makes sense, since I have the biggest number of “friends/followers” there rather than Instagram or Twitter, plus it’s so easy for people to click ‘share.’ Posting consistently (which is one of my hardest transitions into the new year!) and being authentic is what helped push fmG in 2015 more than in the previous years, too.

Hope that helps! Thank you again for all the love, girl!
