Part two of my tribute to my dear friend who is now cancer-free in heaven. I wore this dress to her memorial service/birthday party on Saturday but it isn’t just any dress. She helped me create this piece for my Michigan Fashion Week collection back in September 2014. She helped lay out, trace, and cut fabric from the pattern in my cold basement on the ping pong table. Just a little insight on how selfless she was even through her sickness. Sewing was one of the things we had in common and connected over so I couldn’t think of anything more perfect to wear to her celebration. I miss you so much, Mrs. Sue, but I’ll be seeing you again.
“And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.”
