Chicago Day 3: Magnificent Avenue

Third and final day in Chicago! After that rainy second day, we finally had the opportunity to walk around- and when I say walk around, I mean we spent the whole day strolling up and down Magnificent Ave. AKA shopping street galore. I mainly did window shopping (hey, there’s a mission to be saving for!) but when I saw a gorgeous statement necklace at H&M on sale for $3 from $35, it was a no brainer. Also, it has been a while since I’ve seen jewelry that took my breath away and I basically needed my inhaler at this H&M. We ate lunch at Shake Shack, did more shopping while being mesmerized by those painted statue sidewalk actors, randomly bumped into my little lovebug from Bridgewood at Forever 21 (still in shock), then went back to our relative’s house for a Carpio reunion. Great last day spent!

I wore a floral chambray button-down with one of my favorite thrift finds, a pink, fringed lace scarf. There are so many ways to style it and a fun piece to accessorize for the summer :). But these items definitely came in handy since Chicago lived up to its name, “The Windy City.” Don’t let the beautiful sun fool ya! #chillyinthecity

    1. Thanks girl!! Just looked at your blog, too! So cool you’re from Africa and showcasing other African fashion bloggers- something that needs to be represented more! Keep it up!
