Weekend Recap: Sisterhood, Winter Jam, Purity, and Worship

Hello everyone! How was your weekend? Can I share with you mine? In fact, this whole post will be dedicated to it!

• Sisterhood Gathering at Bridgewood Church •

Friday: Bridgewood Church held the Sisterhood Gathering where about 140 women of all ages and walks of life came together for a mashed potato bar, desserts, and of course, worship and fellowship. Christy Demoff spoke on dealing with “the middle” of trials God’s way. “Don’t miss out on His promise that’s only accessible going through the middle.”

• Winter Jam Tour 2015 •

Saturday: Thousands upon thousands came together to praise Jesus’ name at The Palace of Auburn Hills. I think attending Christian concerts is of the best ways to feel God’s presence because it’s a little preview of heaven (just add some million of souls over the period of history ;). It’s about surrendering our lives to the One who gives us life. This sold out show was incredibly powerful and joyously overwhelming. Plus, I finally saw “Franny” perform live!

• City Grace Church •

Sunday: I had the opportunity to speak on purity and give my testimony to City Grace Church’s youth group, Switch. What a topic! But a topic that falls so heavy on my heart from my own past failures and because of the society we live in today. Praying the hearts of these teens were softened and encouraged.

I also had the chance to help lead worship at Bridgewood earlier that morning; these words have been pressing on my heart ever since!

This passion in my heart / This stirring in my soul / To see the nations bow / For all the world to know / I’m living for Your glory on the earth

I ended this amazing weekend with Woodside Bible Church’s young adults fellowship, Lighthouse, right after City Grace. I only caught the last 10 minutes but there’s no other place I’d rather be to say thanks for all God has been doing than His house!

Let me just say you don’t have to attend three different churches to experience God. God is everywhere. However, attending Christ-centered events will absolutely give you more meaning to your life because you’re living for a greater purpose! It’s not about slaving into learning what’s right, what’s wrong, and being forced into rules and regulations. It’s about understanding and accepting God’s grace and being transformed by His LOVE He pours into people who seek Him! Life is just better with Him.
