Good Girl Gang + The Last Supper

One of my most favorite things about being a blogger is connecting with people and brands who share the same interests as you. So when I discovered Kianna and Karissa’s booth Church Girl Roc, now mainly known as Good Girl Gang, at Fashion Massacre 5, I distinctively remember being drawn towards their table, scanning their merchandise, and being the first one to write my name and email in their subscription sign-up list.

I have followed GGG’s journey ever since and have seen their heart for God, the community, and their desire to uplift women who are battling life’s challenges. GGG has already planned exciting fundraisers and events for 2015 such as The Last Supper, an annual event of fellowship and communion to “celebrate women from all walks of life.” The Last Supper is inspired by God’s Word in Matthew 17 where Jesus and His disciples partook in history’s The Last Supper before Christ was betrayed, crucified, and ultimately rose from the grave. GGG’s goal is to share His love and compassion as He did to the disciples at that table, even to the one who He knew would betray Him.

Not only is The Last Supper‘s purpose to spread love and encouragement but to also provide basic needs for those enduring painful hardships such as the single mother or struggling teenager. We all know times are tough but for some it’s a living nightmare. Start this year off by putting your needs aside and helping someone’s darkness gain some light. “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35).
