Pro-Joggers

Sweatpants in public.

I can’t.

I’m sorry.

I am one of those people.

There’s just something about being presentable and looking decent that I think is important and should not be overlooked. As Elite Daily stated,

Dressing up has proven to have the ability to boost your mood and overall confidence. Leaving the house in a wrinkled top, stretched out jeans and shaggy, slept on hair can have you feeling ‘blah’ all day…You feel great, you act happier and you’re more personable towards the people around you.

However, joggers. Joggers may be the exception.

If you’ve been to a store lately (Christmas just being three days away and all), joggers are everywhere. They are the sister of the harem and the cousin to the baggy sweats. They typically have an elastic waistband and are tapered towards the ankle. If you need a picture:

But joggers have made their way onto the high-fashion platform because of the different fabrics and cuts they can come in. Styling is key into owning your jogger look- the shoe being a major part.

I love the sneaker and the bootie, but my favorite is the heel. Yes, baggy pants with heels works! I think because the comfy factor of the bottoms and heels being an obviously more dressier accessory, their contrast makes it all the more interesting. Check out these ladies here below:

It’s all about balancing the chic and the cozy!
