Good, Bad, Ugly

grunge style tartan print top fashion meets God Dirty Laundry booties red beanieHello!

Chilly temperatures, trees in autumn colored palettes, hot cider and donuts, and pumpkin spice everything… fall is officially in full swing! How are you enjoying this season so far?

Some of my recent wardrobe additions: this plaid button-down midi dress and Dirty Laundry Remix booties (no really, that’s what it’s called!). One thing I’ve learned is that buttoning can really make a difference. I wasn’t too attracted to this dress when I saw it on the hanger fully buttoned, but using it as a layering piece and leaving it opened adds the perfect grunged-for-fall look. As for the booties, I saw them online and reacted as the following:

persons-0007I was very thankful I received a $20 off birthday coupon in the mail from DSW. There goes that!

I’ve been listening to Lecrae’s new album “Anomaly” and am blown away. This world needs hip hop music that speaks more than just the dirty usual and Lecrae shines Light in the most honest, heart-hitting way. He also uses his past experiences as a powerful testimony such as this song “Good, Bad, Ugly.” Please take a listen to his album (which is on Spotify) if you desire to listen to music with real meaning. I cannot wait to see him in Detroit this November!

The look:

Beanie, long-sleeved shirt, shorts: thrifted
Necklace, midi dress: Forever 21
Shoes: DSW
