Joyful

multicolored vest fashion meets God fashion blogger bohemian style Jireh De Jose fringed skirt

One of my favorite skirts! I would consider slashing and creating one, but this already came with all its fringe-y goodness. Don’t you love it when you find patterns that match each other perfectly? I find that wearing matching prints can be best worn with an article of clothing and an accessory such as the above vest and shoes with distance as a key factor. But by all means, if you want to take it to the max, you can wear the trending matching-set outfits, too!

I’ve had something on my heart and feel moved to share and encourage because I have a feeling I am not the only one that needs a pep talk! It’s this: being joyful. To have joy not only in the good, but in times of worry, stress, the unknown, and adversity. When I read that there’s a difference between happiness and joy (happiness is based on what is happening around you; joy is a state of mind that is not controlled by your circumstances, both good and bad) it totally changed my thinking. It’s a choice. I’m praying that we will wake up each day with expectant hearts knowing God was working when we were sleeping and He’s about to work during our day. He knows what you’re going through. He never stops for us.

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,Β Β for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. -1 Peter: 8,9
