This shirt: one verse that speaks depths and volumes of comfort and confidence. I could say that this was an impulse buy when I was undergoing adversity at the time, but it’s actually much more than that. I wear it, read it, let it rest in my heart, and it serves as a “shield” from anything negative or disheartening. The verse Psalm 28:7 also says, “The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts and I am helped; my heart exults and with my song I give thanks to Him.” That is a heart that is steadfastUnwavering, loyal, steady, solid. Whatever bad news you’ve already received or possibly may receive ladies and gents, trust that God will get you through it because you can. Put your faith first before feelings bombard your already clutter-filled mind. We undergo certain situations that present a fork in the road. We can choose to fall back and become defeated or we can overcome with His strength and feel peace and joy even in the most painful circumstances.

As we all enter a new week, I’m praying we will close the door of the dreaded Monday blues, misery, worry, anxiety, and anything else that may be withholding us from hope, love, and God’s blessings for our lives. Trust in Him. He already has everything figured out for you.

Love you all,

Jireh

“…When troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.”
– James 1:2-4
