It’s the most wonderful time of the year!! How is your Christmas going so far? Are you stuffed with food or still stuffed from last night? What’s your favorite present?
This is definitely, hands down my favorite holiday of the year. Not just because of the holiday parties with decadent food buffets, but because this is the day that our Savior, Redeemer, Encourager, and Friend was born. Jesus Christ. More than 2,000 years ago in Bethlehem, all of history changed. The lives of people during that time period and everyone alive right this moment took a whole other turn all from a simple manger. Can we just let that sink in? That the boy that was born completely 180’d our lives? Without Him, He would never had lived a life that would serve as the greatest testimony for thousands of years to come. He would never have died on the cross for our sins, there would be no hope, and all hell would break loose- quite literally. We’re told every year that Christmas isn’t about the presents and the other fluffy holiday hullabaloo that it’s become cliché to say every December. That’s because it’s true. There’s no Christmas without Christ.
So, from my heart and family to yours this day, Merry Christmas. May you feel God’s presence, peace, and love in your home and with your family beyond today!
“She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” (Matther 1:21)
