I heard this song on the radio a few days ago and recognized AJ Michalka’s voice on the get-go (huge Aly & AJ fan back in the day) and fell in love. Then I saw it on TV in a trailer for her latest movie, “Grace Unplugged.” Let me just say, wow. This is the kind of movie I’m sure will relate to me and people my age in more ways than one.
“Grace Unplugged” is about an 18-year-old girl who has grown up in a Christian home and runs away to Los Angeles due to the life of stardom she’s been yearning for. The site‘s header, “Sometimes, chasing your dreams leads you right where you belong,” gives a predictable but open scenario as to what will happen, but it’s one where you can already feel like you can connect to. And because of my recent conversations with my other fellow sisters in Christ, I know I am not the only one.
Chris Tomlin describes “Grace Unplugged” as ‘a powerful depiction of a God extending forgiveness and mercy toward us all.‘ And boy do we need that.
Friday, October 4th! Will you be watching “Grace Unplugged?”
