“Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.” (Hebrews 12: 14, 15)
How can we not extend grace to others when God gives us grace every single day? That’s a question I’ve been asking myself a lot for the past few days. I wouldn’t say I’m the type to hold grudges, but I’ve realized I’ve been holding on to one in particular for too long. You know that phrase “forgive and forget?” Easier said than done! But thankfully we have a God that reminds us that receiving grace from Him sustains us which gives us the opportunity to extend it so that we may forgive and move on from those who hurt us in any way. Once grace and forgiveness is given, a supernatural sense of freedom rushes over us in the most refreshing way possible.
God, you are remarkable.
