Thrifting the Runway

A fashion show in a thrift store is like a dream come true for me. Seriously. Last Saturday I went to Dearborn to attend a the Spring Fashion Show in Goodwill hosted by the ladies of Thrifty Broads and what a successful event it was. I got to finally meet Inez of Style Chic 360, had a pleasant surprise of seeing Miss Kori Fields of Colour X Numbr, and, of course, hunt down some awesome pieces for less than $10. Excuse me, “successful” is an understatement.

Black top & shorts (pre-studded): Salvation Army • Top: Mossimo • Necklace: Baguio, Philippines • Sunglasses: Mango • Shoes: Forever 21

It’s no surprise that most of my OOTD is thrifted; it’s all about dressing the part! The black fringe shawl was $1.50 and I studded these shorts from Salvation Army which I’m so stoked to wear for the summer. I can’t get enough of these DIY studding projects!
