Reflecting on Easter

Screen Shot 2013-03-29 at 8.39.52 PMCan we just reflect on the above tweet for a second? THAT puts things into perspective now, doesn’t it! Easter can be so many things but there’s only one reason why such a day even exists. A time in history when Christ was nailed to a cross. He was whipped. He was spat on. He was ridiculed. And after hours of torture He laid in a tomb for three days. Yet on the third day, He rose from the grave. He is alive. To “celebrate” is an understatement. It’s a time for worship and honest, full-on adoration. To completely surrender ourselves again for the One who gave His entirety for us.

“There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave He rose again

And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ”
“In Christ Alone” by Natalie Grant

God bless you and your family this Easter Sunday. Jesus is always the reason for the season.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…” (1 Peter 1:3)

Let’s stay connected, shall we? @Just_Jireh
