Boys Over Flowers

How’s the new JJ site looking? Having a new layout is like discovering your new favorite ice cream flavor. Seriously. Anyways, here’s to a new direction and pursuing dreams!

My mom is a Korean drama series fan. In fact sometimes she’s in the middle of three at a time. Within my first week being home, curiosity and my mom’s persuasion ultimately led me to watch “Boys Over Flowers.” Less than three days later I finished all 25 episodes, each being an hour and 15 minutes long. So. Good. The title doesn’t make sense unless you decide to put a whole philosophical meaning behind it, but it’s better than any American chick series I’ve ever seen hands down.

This look was inspired by one of the characters, Goo Joon Hee, played by 김현주 (Kim Hyun Joo). Although her color palette was always monotone and dark, she exuded strong femininity, chic-ness, and professionalism. I was surprised when I found this Candie’s grey top as it has some Korean fashion aesthetics. It’s knitted, has an unusual yet comfortable cut, and trimmed with flounces. Love Korean style.

How has your 2013 been going so far? All sorts of good I hope? It’s been one of those deep faith-testing times for me yet exciting and even monumental in my book. Within the past two weeks I’ve been offered and accepted two positions both within my passion for fashion! God continues to be so awesome and so faithful. The wonders of His work including this sunset captured are truly astounding.

  1. Oh Gosh that was the first Korean Show I saw as well. I am obsessed with them since then. You should see Flower boy Ramen Shop. It was pretty goofy! Love your outfit. The character you tried to portray wore alot of really pretty and chic clothes 🙂

    1. Hi! I started watching “City Hunter” with Lee Min Hoo which is more action than romance like on “Boys Over Flowers” but it’s pretty good. I think “Flower Boy Ramen Shop” is on my Netflix actually, I should check it out! Thanks for the comment and stopping by chiclycute! 🙂
