Had Me At Hello

Hello!

Another chilly yet apparently mild December day in Michigan. Thankfully I am finally recovering from my bronchitis and adapting to this weather. Someone told me the other day that MI is the fifth most depressing state because it only has 70 days of sunshine- random- but being back home has been awesome so far. The past few weeks have been filled with tons of family time, running errands, constantly pouring over my Glamour and Teen Vogue magazines as I try (and am determined) to keep my creativity and inspiration flowing, and the unavoidable post-graduation/what’s-next-in-my-life thinking process. You know, that whole thing.

I went to Troy to see some old friends for a surprise birthday party and wore the above. The attire was an ugly Christmas sweater- oops, fail! Anyways, I found this knit skirt at an ukay, paired it with pink Forever 21 tights and socks and mixed it with a faux leather jacket I bought years ago for that feminine and edgy contrast. I derived inspiration from this look I reported for CollegeFashionista where I find balanced clashing styles super intriguing. Read about it here!

I also have to share my obsession with this song “Had Me at Hello” by Luke Benward which has literally been on repeat for the past three days. The smileys on the skirt correspond someway with the song too, right? His voice, I can’t. Love.

Until next time!
