Subic, Philippines

Second destination outside Metro Manila: Subic. People were telling me left and right that the beaches were the thing not to miss, but my itinerary clearly went the opposite direction. Instead we went to Treetop Adventures and Zoobic Safari. The drive going to these places reminded me so much of West Virginia- Virginia- North Carolina road trips; miles of windy, paved roads surrounded by towering trees. After a day of ziplining, canopy hopping, falling from a three-story tree, and encountering animals from birds to tigers, Subic was quite a success. The more I sight see within the Philippines, the more I’m impressed by it! Just three hours from the city and you can find yourself in a place filled with mountains, gorgeous landscapes, and other sights waiting for you to discover them. This country really has more to offer than meets the eye.
