I was feeling very “western cowgirl” this day and I’m guessing it’s because of the black suede and leopard print mistaken for cow print vest, fringe necklace, and boots. I watched the old school Disney movie Horse Sense the other day…maybe that was my inspiration? I’ve also been wearing these boots constantly (yeah, they’re Skechers) due to my lack of proper rain boots during this rainy season in the Philippines. These heavy duty, construction worker-like boots withstand anything though including this typhoon that’s hitting us right now. Can I just say it’s 1:30am, I’m the only one awake, the rain is going hard, the dining room light is flickering, and I hear weird noises from downstairs? Not. cool. Stay safe everyone!
In other news, I’ve been wanting to touch base with the fashion industry back home for a while now. Even though I’m studying abroad, I want to know what’s going on in my home state, ya know? I came across FASH DET- a site compiled of Michigan bloggers who love to write about fashion and beauty who also promote events happening in the Mitt. I think it’s great how people in Michigan are trying to vitalize fashion there because I know there are some creative voices that are striving to be heard. With that said I’m excited to say that I am officially a part of the Fashion Bloggers of Detroit! Thanks so much, Fash Det! So happy to be part of this community!
