Styling at Inches

Last Saturday I went to Trinoma Mall with my styling class for an assignment. Oh, the perks of being a fashion student. Our task was to style the mannequins inside the store Inches. Our teacher, Miss Marina Benipayo, discussed the importance of visual merchandising and what to remember while styling a mannequin especially from a consumer’s point of view. Then we were off! We went around the store to visualize what we wanted for each of our mannequins which included the season, accessories, shoes, color palette, and the garments. I partnered with my fellow SoFAshionista, Chaley! The class reassembled and cohered our picks. I, for one, loved our collection!

Chaley and I

Me and Chaley’s look! We went for a biker chick look with an all black ensemble with hints of wine red and gold. We used the red chained belt as a bracelet and the shoes went perfect with our overall look. The heel gave a feminine touch yet still achieving a tough side with gold studs.

The final class outcome

I love these three looks together!

Our class collection: boho and ethnic to city chic in red

Thanks to Gary for the great pictures!
