Jan. ’12 Finals: CAD

First finals post. *Guh* I don’t know why, but for some reason this term’s finals were my toughest in SoFA yet. I thought last June term was brutal because of Sewing 3, but this past term’s finals really challenged and pushed the best out of me. Thankfully, I really time managed myself (aka worked on finals every night during Christmas vacation until 4am) and was able to finish everything the weekend before finals week. Thank you, Abba! I could not have done it without You! ❤

Here is my CAD (computer aided design) final. We had to choose a visual artwork, create a moodboard, create eight looks and flats (front and back), and render two croquis. I did a dance routine, of course, by Jeanine Mason and Brandon Bryant choreographed by Laurie Ann Gibson.

Inspiration:

So You Think You Can Dance: “Battlefield”

Moodboard:

Bondage, army uniforms, bullet strips, tattered and torn, camo color palette, dance costumes and ambience

Flats:

This took 16 hours alone!

Croquis:

In all, all I can say is that I wish I took CAD earlier so I could use Illustrator and Photoshop for my other classes! I DEFINITELY appreciate this class!
