Kalibo Day 1

I flew to Kalibo yesterday to spend time with my dad’s family for the weekend. It’s been one year since Lolo Erning passed away. Unreal.

Kalibo’s one of those places that never changes, from my dad’s home to the town itself. It’s where my excitement for tricycles began, the nun I always see walking around the house with her friend, where food is nothing but pure Filipino and oil-based, and Gaisano Mall is my favorite go to establishment. Even the drives from the airport feels the same; everything becomes familiar…ever since 2005. 

Besides seeing family again, another thing I was looking forward to:
