SoFA Diary #7: Egyptian Accessory

For my ClothEv class, we had to create a modern day accessory inspired from Ancient Egypt. After watching the 1963 movie Cleopatra (which was part of another assignment) and Googling, I decided to make a necklace. I noticed that they used to wear big necklaces with a width of about three to four inches with elaborate beading. I didn’t have any beads, so I just worked with the extra fabric I had.ย

I still have to edge/serge the bottom, but nonetheless this is what it turned out to be!
