Lucy Hale, Teen Vogue Feature

My mom sent me the February 2011 issue of Teen Vogue. I was really happy when I got it because I haven’t opened a recent U.S. fashion magazine in months. Teen Vogue was the first fashion mag I was into. I subscribed to it when I was 13 and still have stacks upon stacks of these magazines in my room. So I was really really happy when I saw who the cover girl was. Lucy Hale from Pretty Little Liars! My current favorite American TV show, and Mara Clara being my fave Filipino telenovella. ANYWAYS, I remember watching Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and saw Hale play the younger sister of Alexis Bledel. I thought she was incredibly pretty, and she hasn’t changed much since then, especially those bold eyebrows I wish I had. Her character, Aria, in PLL is so adorable. I love her as an actress! And not to mention her style in the show- elegant darkness. You usually see her dressed in all black or dark hues with lace, minimal soft ruffles, and other feminine decor with a rock edge.

As I was reading the article, I became even more of a Hale fan. She seems so confident and down-to-earth; it’s inspiring. Then I was looking at her outfits from her shoot and I absolutely love what she wore! Both of her two main outfits consisted of a solid color garment paired with a printed garment and big statement necklaces. It reminded me of Rebecca Bloomwood’s style which is probably why I loved it even more. I really love her dark pistachio long sleeve blouse tucked in with the high waisted animal print pants. Bold colors and cheetah print. Love! I read that she’s starring in Scream 4. I’m not much of a horror movie fan, but I’m excited to see her other works!
